Well-differentiated pseudohyperplastic SCC is seen with flat to polypoid surface and downward proliferation of irregular nests. The differential diagnosis is with pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia.

Appreciation of infiltrative tongues of well-differentiated tumor that invade the subepithelial connective tissue helps distinguish pseudohyperplastic carcinoma from a pseudoneoplastic lesion.
