Clinical Issues
Aggressive local recurrences, but no metastases
Microscopic Pathology
Deeply infiltrative-appearing lobules, nests, and cords of cells
Mixed population of smaller basaloid adnexal cells and larger squamoid cells
Both cell types can surround ductal lumina
Evidence of follicular differentiation can be seen
Suggests that these may represent squamoid variants of microcystic adnexal carcinoma
