Splenosis

Pulmonary parenchymal (thoracic) splenosis is a rare condition resulting from seeding of splenic tissue in the pleura and/or pulmonary parenchyma after lacerating trauma to the spleen. The majority of cases present as pleural-based nodules and may masquerade as a metastatic neoplasm.
Cytologic Features
