Hematoxylin & eosin shows low-power view of a biphasic lipogenic neoplasm. On the left, features of low-grade myxoid liposarcoma are seen; atypical lipomatous tumor is present on the right.






Small undifferentiated cells and univacuolated lipoblasts are set in a prominent myxoid stroma with numerous thin-walled and branching vessels image in the myxoid liposarcoma component.

  • Liposarcoma showing morphologic/genetic features of combined myxoid liposarcoma and atypical lipomatous tumor/dedifferentiated liposarcoma, or of myxoid liposarcoma and pleomorphic liposarcoma
