 In lipoprotein glomerulopathy, glomeruli have segmentally dilated capillaries filled with pale-staining lipid material  that is not well preserved in routine paraffin sections. |
 The lipid thrombi  distend glomerular capillaries in lipoprotein glomerulopathy and are well preserved in fresh frozen tissue and positive with oil red O. |
