Examination notes
Any suspicion of intracranial space-occupying lesion, e.g. AVM, aneurysm, venous thrombus or collection, requires a pre- and post-contrast CT scan.
When describing any mass, start by attempting to localise to either parenchymal (intra-axial) or outside the brain, e.g. dural, bone, nasal (extra-axial).
