Endometriosis

Endometriosis is defined as extrauterine growth of endometrial tissue. It usually is confined to the pelvic cavity but can occur elsewhere, including the pleura. It usually causes chest pain and dyspnea and sometimes is associated with catamenial (simultaneous with menses) pneumothorax and pleural effusion.
