Patients who abuse cocaine, either intravenously or by smoking it (crack cocaine), may have pulmonary disease. Pulmonary hemorrhage occurs more frequently than is suggested by hemoptysis. Interstitial fibrosis may develop in long-term abusers.
Histologic Features
Acute hemorrhage.
Chronic hemorrhage.
