Cyril Fisher, MD, DSc, FRCPath

Angioleiomyoma is circumscribed and can be “shelled out.” A thin rim of subcutaneous adipose tissue image is seen enclosing the excision specimen. This pattern is sometimes termed the solid variant.

The cavernous type of angioleiomyoma has thin-walled dilated vascular channels arranged in small clusters image within a stroma composed of smooth muscle fibers that form branching fascicles image.
