This concluding part presents a variety of case studies illustrating what families face, in specific circumstances, in terms of genetics, genetic testing, and the care of family members who are affected with a genetic condition. Through each of these five studies, we can catch at least an accurate glimpse of the burdens associated with such gene mutations as may spread through families and have the potential to affect many future generations.
