Introduction
This anatomically complex region has been the subject of many books. In this part, inguinal and femoral hernia repair (Chapters 94 and 95) by various methods is illustrated. Inguinal lymph node dissection (Chapter 96) and sentinel node biopsy for melanoma of the trunk (Chapter 97) conclude the part, which serves as a transition to the next two sections: The Sacral Region and Perineum (Chapters 98, 99, 100, 101 and 102) and The Lower Extremity (Chapters 103 104, 105, 106, 107, 108 and 109).
